Akeley Hall of African Mammals. November 2013.
Sometimes drawing in the weekday mornings at the museum can be rather poignant. It is the early teen girls that get me the most. So many of them, passing by in school groups, will say that they can't draw and that they wish they could. It's such a contrast between these girls who have lost their confidence and their younger selves: the cute and confident 5 and 6 year olds that pass by in school groups and stop to tell me how much they love drawing and what good artists they are.
