This is in the Akeley Hall of African Life. I've avoided drawing it up until now because the eyes of the seated cheetah bother me. They look like a teddy bear somehow.
I've only seen cheetahs in the wild once and it was one of my best game sightings ever - and my first. It was on my very first trip to Kruger Park as a 5th grader with my class on an exciting week long overnight trip. It was about 4 or 5 cheetahs right by the side of the rode eating a zebra they had killed. Pretty spectacular and rare to see! But because it was the first visit I had no idea just how rare it was to have a good view of cheetahs. I've never seen them since.
